Spring is here!

I spent the past week working on my closet. Everybody needs to reevaluate their wardrobe situation every so often.

Think about it. We are changing and evolving as life goes on. Guess what? Your closet won’t adjust itself to the version of you that you’re becoming.

The new season is an opportunity to refresh and update your closet!

Things to keep in mind:

1. Make sure your pieces fit your body properly.

That alone is huge and will prevent you from frustrating yourself when putting something together on a daily basis.

2. Think about your favorite Winter outfits.

How can you keep the key pieces but adjust them to the warm weather? Maybe you can swap boots for sandals, a coat for a vest… And there you have it, a brand new outfit with items you already have.

3. Take a minute to evaluate your heavy Winter attire.

What items did you not wear at all? Think of the reasons they were not worn, and if it makes sense for you, let them go.

4. Prepare your heavy winter clothes for storage…

…to make room for the warmer pieces.

5. Bring out your Spring weather pieces.

As you organize them, list the items you still need. For example, your sandals didn’t hold up very well last year and need replacement.

Create a list so you don’t forget what your wardrobe needs. This way, you won’t get trapped buying the same thing you already have instead of focusing on what you need the most. (I know I have said that before, but having a shopping list is the biggest favor you can do for yourself.)

6. If life seems too busy and all of that sounds overwhelming to you, seek professional help.

I am here to help you create a functional closet that suits your lifestyle so you can spend time taking care of what is really important for you.

Remember, when you feel good about your look, you sparkle your light to the world.
