Styling tips for Fall

two pairs of boots

Hello everyone!! Today is the very first day of Fall, and I am so ready to get back in my boots. This post will be released Friday so you might be reading this with your sweater on.

Fall is the season for light layering, something that I personally love to do when dressing up, layering light pieces, and wrapping the look with a belt.

In this post, I will share two easy ways to layer pieces for fall weather:

1 - T-shirt + slip dress and a bulky belt.

2 - Combo turtleneck + kimono and the belt as well.

Speaking of belts.

Often, clients ask if the belt should match the top or bottom piece in an outfit.

There’s no right or wrong, but you can use the belt color to balance your outfit. I will explain it.

You visually add leg length to your body when you match your belt with your trousers or your chosen bottom piece. See picture.

On the other hand, when you match your belt with your top, you can visually make your torso look longer.

You can use this tip as a tool to balance out your silhouette.

Having said that, it’s important to say that there is no absolute right or wrong. It’s all about what feels right for you. Everybody is different, and this is the beauty of life.
