It’s time for a closet review

The mid-season tip for a more enjoyable Summer.

I was looking through my closet, replacing my old hangers, and making sure they all matched after the moving, and I realized I hadn’t given you guys this really nice tip that might change how you go through each season! Besides having a well-organized color-coded closet (with matching hangers!) I always advise my clients to carefully look through their wardrobe once in the middle of each season and bring forward the pieces they want to wear before the season ends. This is a great way to ensure you’re not forgetting to wear all your favorite clothes!

I usually combine that closet review with my periodic visit to the tailor. Taking some of your clothes to a tailor is always a good idea because we all have a few nice clothes that are either missing a button or needing any quick fixes that keep you from wearing things you’d really enjoy. So it’s like you don’t even have them in the first place! So when you come back from the tailor with your fixed batch, it feels like you got fresh and new clothes, except that they’re already your long-loved pieces!

So, to recap:

1. Make sure that you have matching hangers

2. Organize your closet by color

3. Periodically visit a tailor

4. Bring forward what hasn’t been worn

If you feel some of your Summer favorites might still be buried behind your high rotation pieces, maybe it's time for your mid-season review!
