I have so much to share—subscribe to ensure you don’t miss any of it!
On Thursday, February 6th, I had the privilege of being part of the dressers team for the AG Jeans Fall 2025 presentation at the Highline Gallery in New York City. It was an inspiring evening filled with incredible styling choices and unique insights that I’m excited to share.
If you love denim, this presentation had a lot to offer. Denim is evolving, and I noticed several key trends that will definitely make their way into stores and your wardrobe soon.
One of the standout trends was the oversized fits—think extra-wide trousers and relaxed silhouettes. Comfort is at the forefront of denim’s next chapter. These pants weren’t sitting at a high waist as we’ve seen before; instead, they featured slightly lower waists that gave everything a more relaxed, easygoing feel. There was a real emphasis on comfort without sacrificing style.
I also saw some incredible texture play. Denim with a velvety feel, blending the classic denim with the softness of velvet, was particularly striking. There were also cuffed hems with sparkling and silky details, adding a playful, fun touch to the looks. Texture will be one of the most exciting elements in denim for the coming seasons.
Waxed denim, with a leather-like texture, also made an appearance, giving the pants a sophisticated edge. The sparkling, shimmery denim added another layer of beauty to the show, proving that denim isn’t just for casual wear anymore.
Along with the denim, the jewelry choices stood out. The collection featured bold, chunky pieces—nothing dainty here. The jewelry was simple yet impactful, adding a modern touch to the overall look. The metallic shoes, paired with the denim, tied everything together with a sleek, polished feel.
What caught my attention was the presence of skinny jeans on the models. While we haven’t seen much of them recently, this was a subtle hint that they might just be making a return.
Another trend I noticed was the resurgence of jackets. Jackets were everywhere at the presentation, from fringe details to tailored and oversized styles. I believe jackets will be a huge statement piece in future collections, not just in denim but across all wardrobes. It’s time to start thinking about how jackets can elevate your looks!
The presentation itself was a bit different from the usual runway shows. Around 22 models stood for hours dressed in the collection, allowing the audience to admire the pieces up close. This setup allowed the attendees to take in every detail and immerse themselves in the collection.
Looking ahead, I believe we’ll see these trends everywhere. Denim will continue to evolve with more luxurious textures, including velvet blends and shimmery finishes. Relaxed fits and low waists will offer a comfortable alternative to the skinny styles of the past. And jackets—don’t sleep on them! They’re going to make a big statement this year.
If you plan to update your wardrobe soon, look for these pieces. Trust me, they’ll help you stay ahead of the curve while feeling comfortable and stylish.
