Discover my Favorite Local Spot: Groundswell

Some places have a way of weaving themselves into your life, offering comfort, beauty, and inspiration. For me, Groundswell in Tiverton, Rhode Island, is one of those places.

I’ll always be grateful to my friend, Ana Marques, who first brought me there. When I moved to Fall River a few years ago, I was still exploring the area, slowly uncovering the hidden gems that make this community special. From the very first visit, Groundswell felt like home.

Last year, I loved writing a series of blog posts about museums. But as I thought about what direction I wanted my blog to take this year, I decided to include experiences that feel personal and meaningful to me—ones that go beyond museums or fashion tips. Groundswell was the perfect place to start.

Groundswell is a fantastic bistro with the most amazing brunch and breakfast options. The food is incredible—not just in taste but in presentation. The menu is updated often, with new items that keep me returning. There’s always something exciting to try, and I’ve loved bringing my family and many clients there. It’s so delightful to watch someone discover Groundswell for the first time and fall in love with it, just as I have.

But it’s not just about the food. Groundswell also has two incredible shops that I adore. The garden area - in the historic Arnold Smith House, built around 1750 - is filled with outdoor décor, books on gardening, and charming home items like unique perfumes and beautiful decorations. It’s where you can lose yourself for hours, finding little treasures for your home.

Then, there’s the Table + Provisions shop in another historic house, the Wilcox-Davol - , where you’ll find the most exquisite table and kitchen items. Everything is so thoughtfully curated, from elegant dishware to stylish table settings.

Many of the pieces I’ve chosen for my studio came from here because they perfectly capture the vibe I want to create. When you visit my studio, you’ll see so much of Groundswell reflected in the space. Every piece brings me joy, reminding me of the creativity and beauty that Groundswell represents.

I want to note that this post isn’t an advertisement or partnership. It’s completely spontaneous and based on my personal experience. Groundswell is simply a place that’s touched my life in such a meaningful way, and I wanted to share that with you.
